Recently while in South Korea I had a yummy dessert there called Bingsu. It is a very popular Korean milk-based shaved ice dessert similar to fluffy snow type of texture. You then have a choice of what topping to put on it Mango, Strawberries, Chocolate to name a few. Normally it is given in such a big serving you want to share it with 3 or more people. Well today I found a place that sells it in a smaller individual type of size. The place is call Yes BOBA in Plymouth, MI. I guess this is the Taiwanese-style version. I actually liked it better than the Korean style. I got the Mango shaved snow ice with fresh mango, mango popping boba, pudding, and whipped cream. It was delicious I will be going back again. They sell Boba teas as well.

We were in town for a day and grabbed bubble teas here before we left. We’ve been to a lot of boba places in the States, and this was one of the best experiences we’ve had hands down. My husband can’t do sugar anymore (we didn’t tell them this) and when ordered a Thai tea and asked for zero sugar, she immediately let him know the Thai tea they use has some sweetness in it, and he was then able to order a more appropriate drink. My husband had almost given up on tea places as so many of them spike his blood sugar, but this spot was amazing and so up front about everything knowing exactly which teas had any sugar in them without even being asked to tell him this info! I wish we lived in the area - we would be back a lot! Wonderful bubble teas (we tried the Yes milk tea (smoother black tea flavor), the assam milk tea (stronger spices - yum), and the Thai milk tea (also delicious). They have electronic order stations but we went to the counter and they were so helpful and described the differences between each black tea. I would have love to have tried their shaved ice cups, fish shaped waffles, and blended drinks as they all looked amazing. Highly recommended! Thank you Yes Boba!

I’ve been coming here since they first opened and have always enjoyed their boba drinks and shaved snow ice—my all-time favorite. The service has consistently been excellent, and the boba baristas always come up with great tea creations. With the chilly weather today, I decided to try the warm grass jelly dessert. It came with boba, red bean, taro, and taro balls, plus peanuts on the side for those with allergies—but of course, I added them in. The dessert was sweet, but not overly so—just perfectly delicious and comforting. Grass jelly is known in Asian culture for its health benefits, including aiding digestion and supporting blood sugar regulation, so enjoying this dessert felt both indulgent and good for me. Yes Boba is truly my go-to spot for a sweet treat in my life. And I have to give a shout-out to their Taiyaki—fish-shaped waffles filled with your choice of matcha, Nutella, mozzarella cheese, custard, or red bean. I’ve tried them all, and not a single one has disappointed. Run…don’t walk to Yes Boba

Im a big fan of korean bingsu and their shaved ice/kakigori is of the same texture. Soft snow melt in the mouth feel. Good serving for 10$. The taro meets taro has boba, taro, and mochi i think. 3 different toppings but when you eat it, they all feel similar, chewy. You can barely taste the difference with the 3 aside from the boba is sweeter. I recommend this flavor if you like chewing/mochi stuff. Im not too much of a fan of this combination but im going to try other flavors next time. The taiyaki is also good. Freshly made and the custard is not too sweet. The place looks sleek and nice. Lots of parking available around.

We’ve been enjoying Boba from various places for a long time, but Yes Boba feels a cut above the rest. They’ve shown that they repeatedly deliver well made boba tea every time. We order the Taro Milk with Boba, something new, and a taiyaki just about every time. The taro milk is made with fresh taro, which really stands out and makes the flavor just that much better. The Taiyaki is really good and freshly made for each order. It reminds me of the taiyaki I had in Japan. I especially like the mozzarella taiyaki Interior is very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. Prices aren’t too high given the quality and care.
